To monitor and enforce compliance with the PFMA, implement accounting practices and prepare accurate consolidated financial statements within Departments and Entities.

• Monitor, build capacity, support and enforce compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and the accompanying instructions notes, circulars and guidelines within provincial departments.
• Promote, monitor, support and report on the implementation of the accounting standards and provide technical assistance and training to provincial departments.
