Central Support Services

Central Support Services (CSS) is the administrative function of the CDC and include:
• CEO’s Office;

• Finance;
• Corporate Services;

• Human Capital Solutions - SEZ;
• Centre of Excellence;

• SMME Development;
• ICT, Research and Strategy;
• Shared Services; and

• Cost Engineering Unit.

Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Investment Services

The CDC’s business focus on the Economic Zone is implemented through the following Business
Units and programme:

• Business Development;
• Zone Operations; and

• SEZ Infrastructure Programme

External Services

The External Services Programme is made up of several revenue generating Programmes that are
aimed at creating and achieving organisational self-sustainability. This component of the CDC’s
business is concerned with extending the reach of the CDC and to play a major role in the socio-

economic development of South Africa, whilst generating revenue to help fund the development of the
SEZ and the CDC’s Corporate Social Investment projects.
