Notwithstanding this decrease, there are departments showing increases in their training expenditure in 2025/26, which are: %uf0b7 Community Safety at 258.5 per cent will capacitate its employees through bursaries andother short courses to improve department outcomes;%uf0b7 Provincial Treasury at 163.0 per cent will provide staff development through several trainingprogrammes including the KHAEDU for senior management. The focus is also on fosteringwomen's leadership and representation in management roles in line with governmentpriorities pertaining the previously disadvantaged groups. The focus is also on strengtheningtechnical and leadership skills at the middle management level;%uf0b7 Social Development at 27.9 per cent will provide various relevant training as per the needsanalysis and Personal Development Programmes that will be provided to those identifiedemployees;%uf0b7 Public Works and Infrastructure at 26.6 per cent will provide training including short courses,national diplomas and degrees for staff and internships in the various programmes. Traininghas been prioritised due to the impact of migrating from old organisational structure into newone which requires upskill of employees to fit into their new roles; and%uf0b7 Office of the Premier at 11.6 per cent will provide training on short courses based onWorkplace Skills Plan and the Departmental Training Plan.90
