These include construction, electricity and gas, transport and storage, and the digital economy. Selected Quarterly Industry Performance and Employment Agriculture: Agriculture is one of the key sectors in the province in terms of employment and exports. The sector has also proven to be resilient in its ability to rebound from negative shocks related to weather, animal diseases, energy price shocks and disruptions to international trade. The sector has also been key in sustaining some level of economic growth and employment in the province for most of the quarters in 2024.
