                                    Overview of the Provincial Revenue and Expenditure (OPRE %u2013 2025/26)end of 2027. The upgrades on the N2 Wild Coast, a flagship national project delivered in the province, have been progressing well. This mega project is part of the provincial priority projects and part of the 18 strategic infrastructure projects (SIP 3: South-Eastern Node Corridor Development). The project has delivered significant socio-economic benefits in terms igniting economic activity and jobs creation in the province, including the development of contractors and and crowding-in of private investments into the province. In terms of project updates, SANRAL has recently spent R2.2 billion in the construction of the N2 road section 20 between Lingeni intersection (15.4 km) and Msikaba bridge (33.02 km). The construction of the Msikaba bridge is ongoing, SANRAL expects that the construction of the bridge deck will be completed in the first quarter of 2025, this includes the installation of the bridge cable. Furthermore, SANRAL is currently implementing package five of the N2 Wild Coast Project, which includes the construction of the road connecting Msikaba bridge and Mtentu bridge. The project is expected to be completed by 2027 and will cost around R2.5 billion. Recently completed SANRAL road infrastructure upgrades in the province include the R63 Fort Beaufort to Alice (R714 million), Breidbach and Belstone Interchange (R438 million), R61 Baziya to Mthatha Airport (R238 million), and R67. SANRAL projected spending in the province between 2023 %u2013 2027 is estimated to be about R56 billion.
