Estimates of the Provincial Revenue and Expenditure (EPRE) – 2023/24 Financial Year
are continuing to pursue Bachelor of Veterinary Science in the University of Pretoria. The 2023/24
estimated amount for external bursaries is R2.3 million.
The department will continue to enhance knowledge and skills of employees through provision of financial
assistance to 6 employees for them to complete their studies through Institutions of Higher Learning. This
programme assists in improving technical and soft skills of the workforce. Of the 6 employees, 5 are
females and 1 male.
The department will address the backlog by implementing Compulsory Induction Programme (CIP) for
levels 1-3, 4-5 and 6-13, to three hundred (300) newly appointed employees in the department.
